Start With Why is one of those books that many people feel they already know, even if they haven’t read it. Returning to it with distance, I was struck by how enduring its central question remains.
Sinek’s argument is simple but powerful: people are inspired not by what organisations do, but by why they do it. Reading the book again, it felt less like a manifesto and more like an invitation to reflect on alignment.

What works is not the examples themselves, but the way they prompt self-examination. The book asks leaders to consider whether their actions reinforce their stated purpose, or quietly undermine it.
While some of the storytelling leans towards idealism, the underlying message remains relevant. Purpose is not a branding exercise. It is a filter for decisions, priorities and behaviour.
Read thoughtfully, Start With Why continues to offer a useful starting point for conversations about meaning and direction.
