Or is there more than meets the first glance?
I’ve been asked twice this week what Firgun (the consultancy name) means – which is lovely.
Almost as lovely as when people find out what it means 😉
So here’s a behind-the-design view of the Firgun logo and what’s hidden in plain sight:
1️⃣ 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲
Culture is not an initiative. It’s not a one-off activity.
It requires constant tending and nurturing to ensure it supprots what your organisation needs.
2️⃣ 𝐁𝐞𝐞
#HappyBeesMakeTastyHoney is my mantra.
If you have people in the right environment, with the right tools, culture, support, processes and nurturing, performance becomes a side effect.
Bees are also leader-less – which ties in beautifully with my academic work on leadership theory and application.
3️⃣ 𝐇𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧
The hexagon is the most efficient shape in nature. There’s no wasted space.
When investing in culture, there are hundreds of things that could be tackled. I help you identify where the most effective and efficient investment should sit to delivery results.
4️⃣ 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰
When it comes to nurturing behaviours and developing cultures, some aspects cause larger impacts than others.
Leaders and our organisation’s histories can leave lingering shadows that need to be recognised for the subtle but powerful influence they have on the rest of the business.
5️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝
Of course, it’s a registered trademark 😉
6️⃣ 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐮𝐧
This is a Hebrew word that means the “𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘫𝘰𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦’𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴” and is my personal motivation.
Putting people in positions to be successful, and creating the environments that support those accomplishments is my drug.
