Often, comms and engagement are conflated; joined together as if these two parts are somehow the same.
But their purpose and approaches are very different.
Internal Communications is, possibly, the biggest influencer of employee engagement. It’s where the rubber meets the road, and is how our people can understand the purpose, vision, strategy, and, most importantly, how they contribute and make a difference.
This is why any engagement programme has to include internal comms. But it is not the only focus in engagement.
Comms win minds. Engagement wins hearts.
