The challenge with diversity is that it is an output that is viewed as an input.

No. No you’re not.
We don’t start with identifying specific, narrow labels then use those to create change.
We start by creating environments that recognise, encourage, and even reward hashtag#vulnerability, safety and inclusion.
This in turn creates psychologically safe environments that any and all can contribute towards. The output is diversity.
Diversity is the output of inclusion.
Don’t misconstrue my meaning. Representation absolutely matters.
But without that environment, we create the same behaviours, same challenges, same idea creation, and same approaches.
The faces might look different. But the culture remains the same.
And “the same” is not diversity.
