Outrage over World Cup ticket prices has been fascinating to watch.
Many fans are arguing that football is being taken away from ordinary people. That the game is becoming inaccessible. That opportunity is being reserved for those with the deepest pockets.
Most of us instinctively recognise the unfairness of that.
Then I find myself wondering…
If we can see the problem when financial barriers exclude people from football, why is it so difficult to see similar barriers when conversations turn to inclusion, opportunity, and representation at work?
Perhaps the challenge isn’t understanding exclusion.
Perhaps it’s that exclusion only becomes obvious when we’re the ones being excluded…
